THE LIGHTING THIEF was first produced at the Longacre Theatre in New York City on October 16, 2019. the performance was directed by Stephen Brackett, with choreography by Patrick McCollum, music supervision/direction and orchestrations by Wiley DeWeese, scenic design by Lee Savage, costume design by Sydney Maresca, lighting design by David Lander, and sound design by Ryan Rumery. The production manager was Brian Lynch.

Run time approximately 2 hours.

There will be one 15 minute intermission.

Meet the Cast

Production Team Bios - The Lightning Thief

​

​

Stephanie Riggs (Artistic & Educational Director) holds a B. F. A. in Theatre and Television from Texas Christian University, where she received the Fine Arts Guild and Ann Bradshaw Stokes Scholarships for her work in Musical Theatre. While at TCU, Stephanie studied voice under Dr. Vincent Russo, editor or ‘The Journal of Research in Singing’ and Jan Sullivan, author of The Phenomenon of the Belt-Pop Voice. As a director & producer, she has directed both professional and youth theater productions winning critical acclaim and awards in the D-FW area. Stephanie has also twice directed the youth choir composed of her own students for the Dallas Summer Musical’s stop of the National Tour of Joseph...Dreamcoat®. An award winning and nominated actress as well, Stephanie has performed with Casa Mañana, Lyric Stage, Our Productions, PRT, Theatre Three, Uptown Players, and WaterTower Theatre. She appeared in the regional premier of multiple Tony Award winning producer, GFour Production’s touring production of Motherhood, The Musical and is a multiple time featured soloist with the Las Colinas/New Arlington/Garland Symphonies. Stephanie has also performed cabaret style entertainment regularly both with Uptown Players, Denise Lee Onstage and independently as both a solo and collaborative artist. She is an accomplished voice-over/recording artist working for companies such as Mary Kay Cosmetics, The Staubach Corp., Southwest Airlines, WRR Classical 101.1 & The Las Colinas Symphony. She is the current Educational Director and Artistic Director of Our Productions Theatre Co., a professional, nonprofit theatre & is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association, the union of professional actors and stage managers. 

​

Her alumni students and interns have appeared in or worked on several off-Broadway and Broadway productions along with many National Touring productions, appeared in locally at the Tony Award winning Dallas Theater Center, and other local professional theatre productions including Lyric Stage, WaterTower Theater, Casa Mañana & of course here, at Our Productions Theatre Co. among other area theaters. Students are also currently appearing in & working on national television series, for the Disney Co., and in both commercials and feature films. Stephanie also offers private vocal coaching/tutoring to selected YATP students simultaneously developing both the proper belt/pop placement and a classical/legit sound in addition to other musical styles and a sought after college audition coach. Her students are known for their technical skill, discipline, courteousness, and work ethic. Most alumni students that are working professionals today credit YATP with giving them a solid foundation that helped them off to a great start. Stephanie’s graduating seniors regularly gain admittance to top university programs, most attending with scholarships. Previous graduates have been accepted to NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Marymount Manhattan, AMDA, CCM, New York Film Academy, Studio School LA, CAP21, The Julliard School, OCU, Texas State, Pepperdine, Elon, SMU, TCU, Colorado State University, Millikin University, Baylor, Pace, New York Conservatory for the Dramatic Arts, University of Oklahoma, American Academy of Dramatic Arts and many other outstanding collegiate programs. 

​

Mark Mullino (Music Director) has worked extensively throughout the Metroplex and the United States as a musical director and actor. Locally Mark has directed/musical directed/conducted at Water Tower Theater, Dallas Theater Center, Uptown Players, Plano Repertory Theater, Lyric Stage, Labyrinth Theater, Collin Theater Center, Our Productions/ Theatre FMPAT, PFamily Arts and Theater Arlington. Mark Has received numerous Column Awards and Leon Rabin Awards and nominations. In addition to musical directing/acting, Mark plays piano for the weekly Cabaret show “Mamaʼs Party”, teaches musical theater at KD College and Collin College, maintains a private studio and is an artist. Additionally, Mark is the President and co-founder of Dallas Young Artists. Mark received his Bachelors in Music from Hardin-Simmons University.

Alex Davison (Choreographer) is a YATP alum and so excited to be back where it all started! Previous choreography credits include Spamalot (University of North Texas), Big Fish (Rockwall High School), and Christmas Wonders, Christmas Stars (Theatre Frisco). Previous stage credits include How I Became a Pirate (Dallas Children's Theater), West Side Story (Garland Summer Musicals), and The Boy From Oz (Uptown Players). Alex holds a Bachelor's of Music in Musical Theatre from the University of Central Oklahoma. â€‹

​

Elliott Daniels (Fight Choreography) is so excited to be back working with Our Productions Theatre Co! Previous fight choreography/fight captain credits include Vengeance (The Hayes Theatre), West Side Story (Cultural Arts Playhouse) and Romeo and Juliet (The Hayes Theatre) Previous stage credits include My Fathers Dragon (Dallas Children's Theater), Pippin (The Madison Theatre), and Godspell (Plaza Theatricals). Elliott holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Molloy College CAP21 and fight certifications from Dueling Arts International. 

​

Scott Kirkham (Technical Diretor/Scenic & Prop Design) serves as Executive Producer and Production Designer for Our Productions Theatre Co. He holds an M.F.A. in Scenic Design from Florida State University’s School of Theatre and a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Texas A&M University. In the daytime, he works as the Technical Director for the Noble Family Performing Arts Center at Parish Episcopal School. A Dallas native, Scott’s career has taken him to Florida, Ohio, New York, California, and back to Dallas.  An award winning designer, his favorite shows in Dallas include Chicago, The Rocky Horror Show, Plano Repertory Theatre; Pump Boys and Dinettes, Contemporary Theater of Dallas; Macbeth, Bucket Productions, One Flew Over the Coocoo's Nest, Damn Yankees, Irving Community Theatre; Rehearsal for Murder, Another Murder, Another Show, Pegasus Theatre, Grease, Little Shop of Horrors, Adventures in Love, Brighton Beach Memoirs, Art, Project Youth, Peter Pan, Greater Tuna/Red, White and Tuna, God of Carnage, Ordinary Days, Into the Woods, Our Productions Theatre Co. Scott is a proud member of Actor’s Equity Association. He is father of two, husband of one, and human to three shelter dogs, 6 chickens and one cat. (if looking for a pet, please consider a shelter animal first).

Sydney Han (Production Stage Manager) is a YATP alum with performance credits including Into the Woods (The Witch) and CATS (Grizabella). She also has worked crew from lighting to sound as a YATP intern. She is so excited to be back helping out for this amazing show! She found her love for theatre through performing, but she loves going behind the scenes to put on a great show using her excellent management skills!  

​

Lisa Miller (Lighting Design) is grateful to return to Our Productions. Previous design works also include, The Fort Worth Opera, the Opera Studios at UNT and TCU, Theater Three, Island ETC in Galveston, and Sherman Theatricks. Dance Design includes Ballet North Texas, Dallas Black Dance Theater, Wichita Falls Ballet and Lafayette Ballet Theater She has also worked with the Dallas Opera and Texas Ballet Theater. Lisa  is the founder of Hope Rising, an arts organization in North Texas that seeks to raise awareness and put an end to Sexual and Domestic Violence through the arts. 

​

David Lanza (Sound Design) works as resident sound designer for Amphibian Stage Productions and Kids Who Care, as well as regularly designing for many other DFW based companies.  Some recent sound design credits include No Child (Amphibian Stage Productions), Over Forty (Jubilee Theatre), The Addams Family Musical  (All Saints Episcopal School) The Mountaintop (Dallas Theater Center), Spamalot (UNT Theatre), and Witch (Stage West).  David has also acted as production sound operator for national tours of Menopause The Musical, A Tuna Christmas and Tuna Does Vegas, as well as the annual Dance Salad dance festival in Houston, TX.  Additionally David has provided sound design and mixing for animated media projects produced by companies including Nickelodeon, Alfalfa Studios, Kate Spade, and The Ford Foundation.
