Summer is an amazing time for serious young performers to get a JUMP on expanding and improving their technical skillset in Vocal Technique, Acting and Dance.
YATP is the BEST way to kick of every summer! Our NEW students are welcomed to a safe place to feel accepted and feel safe to make art, finding their authentic artistic voice and getting a professional polish. Our summer program is both rigorous and positive with a power wallop of real skills with master classes, small group instruction from our outstanding, experienced, professional faculty. ***2026 Enrollment now OPEN!!***

Musical Theatre Workshops
Join us for a Musical Theatre Workshop with our experienced YATP faculty on Saturday, February 28th & April 18th from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the Lewisville Grand.
​​
Thanks to a grant from the Hattie Mae Lesley Foundation, Fichtenbaum Charitable Trust, Bank of America, N.A., Trustee, this event is open to youth/teens for rising 5th-10th graders.
There is no charge to attend, but advance online registration is required. Registration closes 48 hours prior to each workshop.
The workshop will cover vocal, acting, and dance techniques for musicals, taught by YATP Master Teachers & Industry Professionals alongside talented members of our youth company.
All skill levels are welcome! We meet our students where they are and help them to grow!
Dress comfortably with closed-toe, rubber-soled shoes, and tie long hair back.

Under the direction of Stephanie Riggs, Educational Director, YATP is our renowned musical theatre training program. Established in 1993 in Flower Mound, YATP celebrates our 34th year in 2026. We have trained students with careers both stage and screen, that span across both Europe and the United States, from London to Germany, Los Angeles to New York, and right here at home in Big D.

YATP students make a big impact wherever they go.
The small, conservatory style advanced program admits students by auditions, most of whom train with the program for more than five years or until graduation, when they move on to both professional careers and/or outstanding university programs. Our entry level programs are perfect for young beginners, with open admission following a short placement class/interview. Our working professional alumni, credit YATP with giving them the strong foundations for the work they do today. The YATP legacy is strong.

YATP Private Coaching
Join Stephanie Riggs, Artistic & Educational Director, for a one on one coaching session for vocal technique, acting technique, repertoire building, or audition preparation. Pricing and scheduling is available for both regular weekly sessions over the school year and/or drop in one time or cluster lessons. ​Stephanie’s work over her tenure as Artistic Director has been both award winning and critically acclaimed. As a coach with over 30 years of teaching experience, Stephanie’s students have worked in National, Regional, and Local professional productions. She has twice directed a youth choir comprised of her own students for the Dallas Summer Musicals(Broadway Dallas) stop of the National Tour of Joseph...Dreamcoat® and her alumni students have appeared in and/or worked on several Broadway & Off-Broadway productions, along with many National Touring productions, including for the Disney Co., locally at the Tony Award winning Dallas Theater Center, in other area local professional theatre productions, national television series, and in both feature films and commercials. Stephanie offers a rare opportunity to develop both the proper belt/pop placement along with a classical/legit sound in addition to other musical styles simultaneously, while also offering audition prep, monologue coaching, character development and engaging emotional connection to both the text and songs presented. YATP CAPstone - College Audition Prep
Let our faculty team with over seven decades of combined college & professional coaching experience help your student prepare for their college/university or conservatory auditions. Rise above the pack by helping discover your own artistic voice and letting us help you shine.
The program is included our regular YATP Conservatory Classes curriculum beginning in high school with additional private coaching sessions available.
Students looking for a professional edge work with our team to prepare their portfolios and then are coached on their prescreen filmed auditions in private or small group sessions. CAPstone faculty offer options for career counseling, repertoire/audition set coordination, resume & headshot review, and pre-screen audition taping & editing sessions. Admission is via interview and prescreen taping sessions are subject to availability.

Previous graduates have been accepted to NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Marymount Manhattan, AMDA, CCM, New York Film Academy, Studio School LA, CAP21, The Juilliard School, OCU, Texas State, Pepperdine, Elon, SMU, TCU, Colorado State University, Millikin University, Baylor, Pace, New York Conservatory for the Dramatic Arts, University of Oklahoma, American Academy of Dramatic Arts and many other outstanding collegiate programs from coast to coast.
