Meet The Youth Company Cast
of The Wizard of OZ

Isabel Burdette

"Izzy" is a second year student at YATP, and is happy to be apart of the YATP family. Her most recent credit is Singin' In The Rain as Roz at Parish Episcopal School. Other credits include Dear Edwina (Billy) at Young Artist Training Program, and High School Musical (Theater Kid Ensemble) at Parish Episcopal School. She loves to read, bake, and cuddle with her astounding dogs Dot and Dash. She thanks her parents and brothers for all the sacrifices they have given for her. She works towards to being an amazing singer, actor, and overall performer. She is so excited to participate in these wonderful experiences.

Sakura Byrd

Sakura is entering as a first year student in YATP! Her most recent credits include High School Musical 2 as Gabriela, and Descendants the Musical as Mal. She loves to swim, is in her school's varsity choir, and loves to binge watch Netflix. She is so excited to be joining YATP, and can't wait to gain more amazing experiences!

Riley Dereska

Riley is thrilled to be in her third year at YATP! She has recently been seen in Dear Edwina (Bobby Newsome), You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Linus), and she will be seen in The Love Of Three Oranges (Truffaldino) soon! when not rehearsing, she's also served as a technician in The Female Odd Couple and The Play that Goes Wrong. Riley is always working on a new passion or special interest, from writing, reading, making music, and walking. She would like to thank her friends, teaches, and family for supporting her.

Drew Hill

Drew is currently in their fifth year with the Young Artist Training Program and a sophomore at Grand Prairie Fine Arts Academy. Some of their past favorite shows are My Fair Lady (Eliza, Assistant Director), Dear Edwina (Bobby), Much Ado About Nothing (Hero, Assistant Director ), Noises Off (ASM, Poppy U/S), You're a Good Man Charlie Brown (Lucy), and Chasing George Washington (Ms Letter). They have been acting since they were 6 years old and are so happy to have found a home at YATP. They'd like to thank their family (including their dog, Watson, who's a very good boy) for all their support and their wonderful YATP directors and classmates.

Catherine Journagan

Cate is escatic to be completing her 2nd year with YATP! Some of her past shows include: Suite Surrender (Athena Sinclair) and Into the Woods (Jack's Mother) with Argyle Middle School, Dear Edwina (Billy Vanderploonk) with YATP, The Children's Hour (Helen Burton) at MainStage Las Colinas, Sister Act Jr. (Nun Ensemble), and more. She is a 8th grader in middle school and enjoys reading, writing, sewing, and most of all, acting. She wants to thank her family, her friends, and especially, her YATP family.

Axel Kennedy

Axel is a third year student at YATP. He attends St. Mark’s School of Texas and is an Intermediate Musical Theatre major at Interlochen Arts Camp. Favorite credits include: You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown (Schroeder) and Dear Edwina (Scott) at YATP, Garland Summer Musicals’ The Music Man (Children's Ensemble), Interlochen Center for the Arts’ The Boy at the Edge of Everything (The Boy/Colin Gillespie) and Matilda (Rudolpho/Hortense), University of Texas at Dallas's Newsies (Les) and narrating Ballet North Texas' Don Quixote: My First Classic as (Sancho Panza). He would like to thank his family for being his biggest supporters and his directors for giving him this opportunity. Axel is represented by Duvall Mac Talent and managed by Rothman Andrés Entertainment.

Sophie Rose Kirkham

Sophie Rose is a 10 year YATP student, and over-the-moon excited to return to the Our Productions stage. Favorite Credits Include: 2022 & 2023’s A Christmas Carol (Marta), The Little Mermaid (Aquata), and The Sound of Music (Brigita) at Dallas Theater Center, The Music Man GSM, Gypsy (Baby June) MainStage, Ben Stevenson’s Cirque du Ballet and The Nutcracker with Texas Ballet Theater/Winspear Opera House, Into the Woods (Little Red Ridinghood) YATP/Our Productions, and Evita (Children’s Chorus) Lyric Stage/Majestic Theatre and Annie (Pepper) Firehouse Theatre. An award winning composer, playwright, dancer, pianist, and a guitarist, she is represented by CORE Talent and a proud Dealey Dragon International Academy 8th grader (NJHS Treasurer), studies dance at Texas Ballet Theater, and was accepted to Booker T. Washington HSPVA Music Conservatory for next fall for Music - Guitar/RJAM & Vocals! Love to my family & YATP classmates!

Kira Trees

Kira is a 2nd Year YATP student who loves to entertain people. She was recently seen as Rosalie Wells at MainStage! Irving Las Colinas in the production of Children's Hour. Other credits include: School Of Rock at Grand Prairie Arts Council, Ebeneezer Scrooge at Pocket Sandwhich Theatre, and Gypsy at MainStage! Irving Las Colinas. In her free time she enjoys drawing, making videos, and writing stories. She would love to thank Miss Stephanie for everything she's done and the support she's gotten that has made her never give up.

Veronica Fenoglio-Kushera

Veronica is grateful to be in her 3rd YATP year. She also has the honor of being a sophomore in the Theater Collective Magnet at Richardson High School. Recent credits include Secret Life of Girls (Chandler) DCT, Dear Edwina, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Linus) YATP, Dallas Children Theater's production of Harry Connick Jr's The Happy Elf (Ensemble, u/s), Willy Wonka Jr. (Mrs. Bucket), and The Music Man (Ensemble). When not rehearsing you can find Veronica reading or listening to music. She would like to thank her parents for acting as her chauffeers and always helping her pursue her dreams. She is also an award winning costumer and bravely took on both performing and costuming on this project!

Production Team Bios - The Wizard of Oz

Stephanie Riggs (Artistic & Educational Director) holds a B. F. A. in Theatre and Television from Texas Christian University, where she received the Fine Arts Guild and Ann Bradshaw Stokes Scholarships for her work in Musical Theatre. While at TCU, Stephanie studied voice under Dr. Vincent Russo, editor or ‘The Journal of Research in Singing’ and Jan Sullivan, author of The Phenomenon of the Belt-Pop Voice. As a director & producer, she has directed both professional and youth theater productions winning critical acclaim and awards in the D-FW area. Stephanie has also twice directed the youth choir composed of her own students for the Dallas Summer Musical’s stop of the National Tour of Joseph...Dreamcoat®. An award winning and nominated actress as well, Stephanie has performed with most every major theatre company in North Texas. Regionally, she appeared with multiple Tony Award winning producer, GFour Production’s touring production of Motherhood, The Musical and is a multiple time featured soloist with the Las Colinas/New Arlington/Garland Symphonies. Stephanie has also performed cabaret style entertainment regularly both with Uptown Players, Denise Lee Onstage and independently as both a solo and collaborative artist. She is an accomplished voice-over/recording artist working for companies such as Mary Kay Cosmetics, The Staubach Corp., Southwest Airlines, WRR Classical 101.1 & The Las Colinas Symphony. She is the current Educational Director and Artistic Director of Our Productions Theatre Co., a professional, nonprofit theatre & is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association, the union of professional actors and stage managers. A master teacher & coach for more than three decades, her alumni students and interns have appeared in or worked on several off-Broadway and Broadway productions along with many National Touring productions, appeared in locally at the Tony Award winning Dallas Theater Center, Casa Mañana, and in other major local professional theatre productions. Students are also currently appearing in & working on national television series, for the Disney Co., Netflix, Paramount, and in both commercials, indie and feature film work. Stephanie also offers private audition, vocal & acting coaching with a specialty in simultaneously developing both the proper belt/pop placement and a classical/legit sound in addition to other musical styles, and is a sought after college audition coach. Her husband, children (both by birth and adopted theater kids - now and past), are the lights of her life.

Mark Mullino (Music Director) has worked extensively throughout the Metroplex and the United States as a musical director and actor. Locally Mark has directed/musical directed/conducted at Water Tower Theater, Dallas Theater Center, Uptown Players, Plano Repertory Theater, Lyric Stage, Labyrinth Theater, Collin Theater Center, Our Productions/ Theatre FMPAT, PFamily Arts and Theater Arlington. Mark Has received numerous Column Awards and Leon Rabin Awards and nominations. In addition to musical directing/acting, Mark plays piano for the weekly Cabaret show “Mamaʼs Party”, teaches musical theater at KD College and Collin College, maintains a private studio and is an artist. Additionally, Mark is the President and co-founder of Dallas Young Artists. Mark received his Bachelors in Music from Hardin-Simmons University.

Alex Davison (Choreographer) is a YATP alum and so excited to be back where it all started as a resident choreographer, faculty & board member! Previous choreography credits include Dear Edwina, The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical (YATP), Spamalot (University of North Texas), Big Fish (Rockwall High School), and Christmas Wonders, Christmas Stars (Theatre Frisco). Previous stage credits include How I Became a Pirate (Dallas Children's Theater), West Side Story (Garland Summer Musicals), and The Boy From Oz (Uptown Players). Alex holds a Bachelor's of Music in Musical Theatre from the University of Central Oklahoma. She is OPTC's recipient of the Greater Lewisville Arts Association's 2023 Angel Award.

Scott Kirkham (Technical Diretor/Scenic & Prop Design) serves as Executive Producer and Production Designer for Our Productions Theatre Co. He holds an M.F.A. in Scenic Design from Florida State University’s School of Theatre and a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Texas A&M University. In the daytime, he works as the Technical Director for the Noble Family Performing Arts Center at Parish Episcopal School. A Dallas native, Scott’s career has taken him to Florida, Ohio, New York, California, and back to Dallas. An award winning designer, his favorite shows in Dallas include Chicago, The Rocky Horror Show, Plano Repertory Theatre; Pump Boys and Dinettes, Contemporary Theater of Dallas; Macbeth, Bucket Productions, One Flew Over the Coocoo's Nest, Damn Yankees, Irving Community Theatre; Rehearsal for Murder, Another Murder, Another Show, Pegasus Theatre, Grease, Little Shop of Horrors, Adventures in Love, Brighton Beach Memoirs, Art, Project Youth, Peter Pan, Greater Tuna/Red, White and Tuna, God of Carnage, Ordinary Days, Into the Woods, Our Productions Theatre Co. Scott is a proud member of Actor’s Equity Association. He was the OPTC's recipient of the Greater Lewisville Arts Association's 2022 Angel Award. He is father of two, husband of one, and human to three shelter dogs, 6 chickens and one cat. (if looking for a pet, please consider a shelter animal first).

Sydney Han (Production Stage Manager) is a YATP alum with performance credits including Into the Woods (The Witch) and CATS (Grizabella). She also has worked crew from lighting to sound as a YATP intern. She is so excited to be back helping out for this amazing show after being Production Stage Manager for last year's You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown and The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical! She found her love for theatre through performing, but she loves going behind the scenes to put on a great show using her excellent management skills!

Lisa Miller (Lighting Design) is thrilled to return to Our Productions. Among many works with Our Productions she also works with Ballet North Texas, Bruce Wood Dance Dallas and is an Artistic Company Member with Kitchen Dog Theater. Previous work includes Fort Worth Opera, Dallas Opera, and Texas Ballet Theater, as well as Theatre Three and Galveston Island East End Theater. Lisa is a founder of Hope Rising, an arts organization in North Texas that seeks to raise awareness and put an end to sexual and domestic violence through the arts.
